Every experience you’ve ever had in your life has become a building block governing how you see and react to present situations and relationships, whether it’s positive or negative. This is because only 5% of the mind is actually conscious, working in the here and now. The rest is made up of our past experiences which have been edited and stored as memories in the subconscious mind. These stored memories become the basis of how you’re feeling, thinking and behaving in response to something happening in the present, right now. It like running on auto pilot, your past experiences have an impact on your life now and in your future unless you change them. This is great if they are based on positive experiences, but what if they’re negative and it’s impacting your life right now? Such as negative habits, smoking, emotional eating, fears and phobias, panic and anxiety, trauma, loss, past hurts and wounds. Up until now your life has been based on your past.
Science has now proven that some issues not only get stuck in the mind causing problems in your present but also in the body, causing physical blocks and residue to build up, especially stress, anxiety and panic, phobias and trauma. This is why I have developed a mind body approach to wellness to ensure all aspects of the issue are released so a complete healing can occur, which is gentle but effective. I have found through my 10 years of therapeutic practice, that if you leave one aspect untreated it like an infected wound you can’t heal completely, and the issue will come back again.
